For use with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (and Operations/SCM).
The purpose of this article is to instruct the user how to update the owner of a financial dimension. There are a couple of places that owners are used (also on the org unit), but this article is specific to workflow use of expenditure reviewers where the financial dimension is used in workflow.
- In the application search bar, enter Financial Dimensions and hit enter on the keyboard or select from the list.
- Select the financial dimension that you want to work with. In the below example, Cost Center, then click Dimension values from the top menu.
- Within the dimension details screen, note the Owner field. Select the correct Employee Number/Name for the dimension.
- Continue to update dimensions as needed. NOTE: This screen/data/entity is available as Excel Add-In to update in Excel and publish the changes back to D365. Use this option if you have a lot of dimensions to update (or add, etc).
